Teas to tease a smile this winter

There is something very comforting about a good cup of tea. In the UK alone we get through 75 million cups of the stuff on a daily basis. Aside from its great taste, tea is reputed to have a number of health benefits, from boosting metabolism to being a great source of antioxidants. Whatever your reason for enjoying tea, here are five of our favourite brews to keep you warm and happy this winter:

  • 1.Pukka Tulsi Clarity Organic Herbal Tea , £2.99 for 20 sachets
  • Rich in vitamin C and zinc, Tulsi, also known by the name of ‘Holy Basil’, is drunk by many as a natural immunity booster and to keep infections at bay. It also contains compounds that may help to reduce stress and balance the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine in the brain. We love Pukka’s Tulsi Clarity Tea. With three types of Tulsi, green, purple and lemon, it provides a fresh and zesty tea to help lift your spirits, uplift and restore.

  • 2.Pukka Revitalise Tea, £2.99 for 20 sachets
  • Sweet, spicy and surprisingly zesty, Pukka’s Revitalise Tea is part of their invigorating ‘Feel Alive’ range. A favourite to fight those early-morning waves of lethargy, it contains a potent blend of warming cinnamon, spicy cardamom, zesty orange and cooling spearmint. Delicious and chockfull of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, we usually suggest this tea to customers looking to feel a bit more awake and refreshed in the morning.

  • 3.Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer Tea , £2.49 for 20 teabags
  • A soothing blend of Ginseng, ginger root and chamomile, with added vitamins B6 and B12, this mildly sweet tea is perfect for when you need to grab five. Naturally caffeine-free, peppermint, cinnamon and lemon ensure a flavourful, relaxing moment in your busy day.

  • 4.Pukka Elderberry and Echinacea Tea , £2.99 for 20 sachets
  • Sweet and moreish, with just a hint of zest this is one of our favourite Pukka teas. With wild elderberries, juicy blackcurrants and immune-supportive Echinacea, it’s excellent for the immune system. Bring these wonderful herbs alive by infusing in freshly-boiled water for at least 5 minutes.

  • 5.Yogi Tea Bedtime Rooibos Vanilla , £2.49 for 17 teabags
  • Need a hand nodding off? Try Yogi Tea® Bedtime Rooibos Vanilla Tea just before bedtime. This enchanting blend of sweet creamy rooibos, gentle chamomile and mellow lemon balm tastes delicious and is naturally caffeine-free. Rich cocoa shells, sweet vanilla and a hint of nutmeg add a soothing, warm flavour that’s perfect for drinking just before bedtime.
