- A fat soluble nutrient
- Contributes to normal blood clotting.
- Suitable for vegans
Vitamin K1’s main job is to maintain normal blood clotting function. Without it, even small wounds would bleed excessively, which can be very dangerous! Vitamin K1 is famously found in green leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach, broccoli and swiss chard. However, some studies have revealed that at little as 10% of vitamin K1 is actually absorbed into the body from leafy greens, so a supplement is a good idea for many people.
We recommend Solgar’s Vitamin K1 tablets to anyone who eats few leafy greens or anyone with poor digestion –such as Crohn’s disease or IBS.
