- Provides 150mg of elemental magnesium per capsule
- Highly bioavailable bisglycinate form bound to an amino acid
- Better absorbed than inorganic magnesium compounds
- Often recommended as part of a night-time routine
Magnesium is involved in over 300 processes in the body and can contribute to to the maintenance of normal bones and the normal functioning of the nervous system. It also contributes to maintaining normal muscle function, including the heart muscle. Magnesium is also increasingly recognised as a nutrient that contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Magnesium bisglycinate is a well absorbed form of this mineral which is considered to be gentler on the digestive system than some other supplemental forms of this mineral. Many people recommend it particularly as part of a night time routine.
According to official data 72% of women and 42% of men in the UK fail to consume sufficient dietary magnesium which is largely due to the processing and refining of foods which can remove a large proportion of the magnesium from a food. Multivitamin supplements typically provide little or no magnesium.
Use: Adults take 1 to 2 capsules daily with a meal or as directed by a practitioner or pharmacist. Splitting the dose throughout the day may help those with sensitivity. Do not exceed recommended daily intake.
