I have been using Red Yeast MK for 15/16 years as a replacement for statins which did not agree with me.

We have been taking Red Yeast for a number of years as an alternative to Statins. My husband is statin intolerant and my experience with statins was unpleasant. We go for annual reviews to the surgery and my first visit after taking Red Yeast was very successful as my cholesterol reading was down and told to keep doing whatever I was doing. A very good alternative to statins as far as I am concerned.

I had an adverse effect on statins and wrote to Jan who recommended Red Yeast which I have taken for several years. When my husband was diagnosed as statin intolerant I started him on the Red Yeast which has brought down his cholesterol levels. Highly recommend this alternative to statins.

I have been taking Red Yeast MK-10 for many years after having an adverse reaction to Statins. At my annual reviews with the Practice Nurse at our surgery said cholesterol readings were good after first taking the product. My husband is Statin intolerant and to protect him I suggested he also take them which he has been doing for a good few years now. He also has had good results when he has his annual reviews.

    Cholesterol be gone!

Posted by Claudia on Jul 19, 2021

I was told I had high cholesterol and would be referred to a lipid clinic. I wanted to avoid a statin and feared that the lipid clinic would want me to take one. Thankfully because of lockdown it took six months for my referral to become an appointment. For those six months I took red yeast. The lipid clinic tested my blood and were amazed to find the score had plummeted! I I have promised to keep taking red yeast and there has been no talk of statins. If you are in a similar position I can't recommend it highly enough and having it on subscription means I don't have to think about ordering it.

I had a bad reaction to medication prescribed by the doctor. On stopping that medication I consulted Jan de Vries and Red Yeast extract was recommended. On my first yearly diabetic check up with the practice nurse after first taking Red Yeast my cholesterol levels were better. Her comment was whatever you are doing keep doing it. I put the improvement down to taking Red Yeast and have been taking it for many years. In fact my husband is now taking it as he is statin intolerant.
