Hadley Wood's Elthea-100 contains the original Suntheanine™ which is the product of a Japanese manufacturer and is standardised to 99% L-theanine. In a study comparing five other L-theanine supplements, SunTheanine™ was found to be the only one that was nearly pure L-theanine.
L-theanine is an amino acid that we can find naturally in green tea, which seems to have anti-stress, anti-depressant, neuroprotective, and cognitive performance-enhancing properties.
Like a relaxing cup of green tea, L-theanine works really fast as it is easily absorbed and reaches maximum concentration within 30 minutes to 2 hours of intake.
